The Jerome County Urban Renewal Agency was established by the Jerome County Commissioners in 1997 to facilitate economic development projects throughout Jerome County outside of the boundaries of the city of Jerome.
The Agency is governed by a board of commissioners who are appointed by the County Commissioners and serve for a period of 5 years.
The Agency currently has one urban renewal district (URD) consisting of the Crossroads development at the intersection of US 93 and Interstate 84. There are currently 20 businesses that call Crossroads Point home, ranging from fast food and convenience stores to hotels, heavy truck repair and service to the US Forest Service and the soon-to-be Idaho Center for Agriculture, Food, and the Environment.
The Jerome County Urban Renewal Agency is looking at new opportunities that arise to help grow the economy of Jerome County.
