Investigations

Jerome County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) investigations department has five full time detective positions. One Lieutenant, four investigators, and an evidence technician. 

These detectives work a variety of general and specialized investigations. The caseload varies from property crimes, crimes against persons, child abuse, elderly crimes, fraud, suspicious death, homicide, and sexual assault. Detectives process crime scenes, handle evidence, follow up on crimes, and conduct witness, victim, and suspect interviews. Detectives work illegal drug cases, provide surveillance for criminal investigations, and work specific and detailed cases of illegal drug crimes cases often requiring coordination with local, state, and federal agencies.
