THE JEROME COUNTY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION WILL HOLD A HEARING ON October 26, 2020 at 7:15 p.m. in the Jack Nelsen Conference Room #306 of the Jerome County Courthouse, 300 North Lincoln, Jerome, Idaho, for the request of Don McFarland & Cat Creek Energy, LLC for a Special Use Permit for a Solar Energy Facility. Located on four parcels; Parcels 1801 (SENE, NESE) and 9001 (SESE) zoned A1, Agriculture, in Section 33, and Parcels 3601 (TAX 6 OF SENW, NESW, SWNW, N1/2NWSW) and 5689 (S1/2SW, S1/2NWSW) zoned IMP-AL, Area of City Impact for the City of Eden Agriculture Limited, in Section 34; Township 9 South, Range 19 East of the Boise Meridian; consisting of 359.72 total acres; with a commonly known address of 844 South 1525 East, Eden, Idaho in Jerome County.

Any person needing special accommodations to participate in the above Hearing should contact the Jerome County Planning & Zoning Office at 300 North Lincoln, Room 208, Jerome, Idaho, or call 208-324-9116, seven days prior to the meeting.

Interested persons are invited to attend and shall have an opportunity to be heard. Principal Representatives for the applicant and opposition shall have fifteen (15) minutes and each interested party shall have three (3) minutes. In order to ensure COVID 19 social distancing guidelines are met, we request parties interested in attending to contact the Jerome County Planning and Zoning Office by 4 p.m. Friday, October 23, 2020. The application for the request of Don McFarland & Cat Creek Energy, LLC for a Special Use Permit for a Solar Energy Facility is available by request from the Jerome County Planning & Zoning Office Monday thru Friday during normal working hours between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm. Requests can be made by phone, 208-324-9116; by email, planning&zoning@co.jerome.id.us, or by mail, 300 North Lincoln, Room 208, Jerome, Idaho.

To attend the Hearing, you will need to enter the Jerome County Courthouse at the east entrance (in the back-parking area) that has the handicap ramp. The Meeting Room is located on the third floor, Room #306. If you want to participate in the Hearings you are required to be at the Meeting Room no later than 7:15 p.m. on October 26, 2020.

Zoned A1, Agriculture, located on seven parcels with the following legal descriptions;

Consisting of approximately 1,007 total acres; located approximately between U.S. Route 93, going as far east as 700 East; and from 100 North, going as far north as 225 North, Jerome, Idaho in Jerome County.
