THE JEROME COUNTY BUILDING, PLANNING & ZONING, AND GIS DEPARTMENTS ARE ACTING IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE GOVERNOR’S STAY-AT-HOME ORDER. ACCORDINGLY, ALL CONTACT MUST BE BY WAY OF:

ALL PAPERS SHOULD EITHER BE SCANNED AND SENT VIA EMAIL OR FAXED.

ALL BUILDING AND DEVELOPMENT PLAN APPLICATIONS SHOULD BE SUBMITTED ELECTRONICALLY. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE MEANS TO SUBMIT ELECTRONICALLY, PLEASE CALL TO DISCUSS OTHER OPTIONS FOR SUBMITTAL.

Essential permits will be processed first, non-essential permits may be processed if time allows

Essential Building Permits: Commercial; Commercial Signs; Commercial Remodel; Change of Occupancy; Housing; Residential Remodel (To Make a Person’s Primary Residence Safer); HVAC Heating Cooling and Gas Systems.

Non-Essential Building Permits: Residential Outbuildings (i.e. shop, garage, storage); Real Property Declaration; Solar; Non-Commercial Signs.

Essential Zoning Permits: Agricultural Buildings; LCO Transfers; LCO Minor Modification Permits (Corrals, Wells, Lagoons)

Non-Essential Zoning Permits: Boundary Line Adjustment; Land Division; LCO Expansion; Special Use Permit; Subdivision; Zoning Map Amendments; Variance (Although some Zoning Permits are considered Commercial, the stay-at-home order does not allow the required public hearings to complete the permit process)

Public Records & Information Requests

Please do not email individual staff members if you are seeking an information or public records request. Send emails to planning&zoning@co.jerome.id.us. (Please copy and paste email address if link does not work)

Online Printable Request Form

Public Records Requests may be transmitted by Fax, U.S Mail, or in person. In order to comply with Idaho State Statute, Public Records Requests may not be requested over the phone.

A Public Records Request is a document that this office would have on file (i.e. staff report, building permit, written decision etc.)

Requirements

  • Be legible
  • Be specific as to the record(s) sought
  • Include a name, mailing address, and phone number

Request for Information

A Request for Information may or may not be from a specific document (i.e. address information, zoning designation, land division criteria, etc.)

Requirements

  • Be legible
  • If the request is regarding a specific property, have specific address and/or parcel information
  • Be concise regarding the information being sought
  • Include a name, mailing address, and phone number
